Sometimes I wonder what happened to this blog. It was an inspiring attempt at communicating local efforts for global change, and I hope that future happenings of wondrous circumstances are recorded in these pages.
Love you.

The heat has stolen the lengthy dissertations more frequently recorded on these pages. Perhaps you need help cooling your (dare I write...) loins...? Or if need be a moist towelette?

Yes, I certainly think we vote with our dollars every day, and that is one of the most potent political acts we can commit. I also think that acting locally is extremely important.

I do not think, however, at this crucial juncture, that we can afford to not vote or to cast a protest vote in the 08 presidential election. I agree that both the candidates are in the pockets of the corporations, but personally I think that another Republican administration would be further doom for life.

...and i wonder how many other worlds there are within and alongside the one i know. i have touched the immense stillness of the wild, the infinite patience of giant trees, and the majesty of white-capped peaks. i have seen the contentment and poverty of young and old indian men and women, fated to a life of simple austerity-- their faces lit with the excitment of seeing a white-skinned traveller from a different and hardly imaginable other world. and i have felt the saturation of lustful and excessive consumption in the cities- the pleasurable but ultimantly false satisfaction produced from the drive of the Urban Junkie. How many more are there? How big is the spectrum? the onion bites hard if you take too much. better to proceed layer by layer through the matrices of existence. Let us walk this path with heart, accepting all parts of the experience.
